I wanted to find out more about the game FarmVille on Facebook.  I was confused about what Experience Points (XP) were and how to earn them.  I looked up FarmVille Experience Points on Google and discovered some interesting information.  Apparently, Experience Points (XP) are the means of moving up levels.  So what are the levels all about and what do higher levels do for me?  According to what I found, there are currently 70 levels on FarmVille.  Moving up levels opens up more options for crops you can plant, things you can purchase, etc.

It's easy to move up through levels 1 to 8.  You move to a new level at about every one hundred points. For levels 9 to 15, you'll need 500 to 600 points to move up a level.  Levels 16 to 20, 1000 points are needed, Levels 21-25, 2000 are needed.  At level 30 and beyond you need over 5000 points to go up a level.  As you can see it gets progressively more difficult.  However, if you play right, your farm will have grown to the point that you will be receiving XP’s at an alarming rate.    You can earn Experience Points in a variety of ways.  Every time you plow a field, sow a crop, help a neighbor, or buy a building or decoration for you farm.   If you plant the short term crops, you will build your experience points quicker, as you get 1 XP for plowing and 2-3 for sowing.   If you plow a field for a neighbor, you and that neighbor get an XP.  Whenever you work on your neighbors or friends farms, you earn 5 XP.
